A sketchbook will always rival and be the sole archive to display your progress over time. Being honest, the most convenient way to get your ideas out if you are traveling somewhere and cannot have access to a digital screen.

Honestly, it really can boil down to self-will and determination. I know a couple of people whom I tried to lecture on starting, who struggle with even having confidence in themselves. It takes months, days, maybe a few years before anyone fully states themselves as a beginner artist. Sometimes the pressure to want to be good is too much and many often just give up without even trying, and stop entirely
