A subsection of the electronic genre that was developed in the UK rave scene, specifically during the 1990s. Originating from the genre of breakbeat and hardcore, the term of Jungle wasn’t coined till 1992 – 1993 as it was being associated with names of “jungle techno” & “hardcore jungle.” This is a result of how the structure of most breakbeats and hardcore tracks was. Pianos and vocal samples are mixed along with industrial-style slabs, a blend of all under jungle music.
